The World Miss University Contest was held in Seoul Korea on the 1st of November 2007 and not California, United States as claimed by Mr. Taylor Nazzal�s organization �Visions Innovations & Concepts Ltd�.
The Queen that represented Nigeria in the 20th World Miss University contest, was not a representative from the so called Miss University Nigeria (MUN) but rather the World Miss University Nigeria Queen 2007, Miss Usowanne Ogbuagu, (WMUN`07), a 400 level law student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State was the Nigerian representative in the contest. She emerged 3rd position amongst Miss Germany (1st) and Miss Lithuania (2nd). Miss Usowanne Ogbuagu was accompanied by the President of World Miss University Nigeria Amb. Temidayo L. Kafaru.

World Miss University (WMU) was established in 1986 by the United Nations under the patronage of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), to commemorate the UN-designated year of peace.

WMU, a celebration of beauty and intellect, strives to spread the message of love and peace through out the world, by annually appointing a public service delegation of outstanding female university undergraduates with high moral reputation, excellent character and natural beauty & fitness from all around the world
The contest aims at creating an opportunity for humankind to reflect upon world peace and promote global unity irrespective of race, gender, age, social status e.t.c.

On November 30, 1981, at the 36th UN General Assembly, Costa Rica proposed the establishment of the �International Day and Year of Peace�� as requested by the IAUP Executive Committee.
