Weather Report: Yahoo! Search Index Update
Welcome to our first weather report of 2008. Over the last few days, we've been rolling out some changes to our crawling, indexing and ranking algorithms. While we expect the update will be completed soon, as you know, throughout this process you may see some ranking changes and page shuffling in the index.
To share your thoughts on this with other Yahoo! Search users, please visit the Site Explorer forum.

Last few days... hmmm... I don't see any change in the listing. Its seems to be the same. I will keep a close eye on the results... any one else?

I've seen quite a bit of ranking changes in the Yahoo! Directory -- maybe that's where most of the updates have been.

I've noticed more international sites being integrated into the natural listings. Although with so many companies doing Paid Inclusion, kind of hard to see any drastic change.

I've noticed some positive ranking changes for most of our sites. It looks like Yahoo is starting to reward the webmasters who play by the rules!

The results look like the search team is part of the workforce layoff!

Beginning to see the effects of the new algos, now.
They are interesting. Perhaps the click tracking will be a measure of satisfaction more than any anecdotal comment on this page.
The SERPs do seem to be slightly more diverse - with less major sites occupying the top positions

For link spamming sites seems to work well for them. Don't see any improvements in yahoo. Maybe this is just canada results but they are horrible.

Gino,
Weather Report for Central America is dry and very high cloudes, some wind some times and some hot temps, but beautiful, a lot of people swiming at the beaches and taking a nice brown color too. Sumer is at the middle and we don't expect any rain for a wile.
We want to take the opportunity and ask everyone to come ovr www.solidamerica.com and learn how to become a nature savior, by voting for THE COCO ISLAND fron COSTA RICA. In the middle of front page " Home" you will find the link to how to vote.
Thanks.

I have not noticed much difference compare to earlier when I compare ranking positions of my website.

Very interesting. This does explain some ranking changes I noticed a while back. I had attributed it to some other efforts, but I'll factor this in as well now.
