Update on Site Explorer Results and Counts Data
Recently, some of you noticed changes in counts for Site Explorer results, where the counts were different for logged-in users versus logged-out users.
While the counts have been incorrect in some cases, the actual returned results have been correct. However, we did roll out a product fix yesterday and will be rolling out a couple more over the next few days to resolve this difference in counts some of you have observed.
Please disregard any counts for inlinks reported by Site Explorer from October 11 through next week. Thank you for raising this issue.

I have also noticed that the number of links will change depending on which page of the results one is on.

It's nice when a big company like Yahoo! admits it's messed up something and is looking forward to correct it. I am waiting for the bug correction announcement.

Thank you for the update. I wish you would also update your Yahoo badge widget as it never seems to display the correct amount of links to a site.

This is a long shot, but I don't imagine that the fixes will also deal with a problem I'm having? My blog changed domains about 10 months ago, and the old URL is redirecting (301) to it, but the backlinks are appearing against the old URL in Site Explorer.
This wasn't always the case - the old URL disappeared from being listed soon after the change, but it reappeared in late July...

I haven't logged in for a while, excellent improvements. This is much better than silly "G" webmasters tools, they have ruined it.

Nice, I have noticed this in the past. Glad this is being addressed. I agree, the Yahoo tools are great.

Does anyone know if the counts problem is resolved as yet? Site explorer is such a great tool, i depend on it to track my progress. Yahoo deserves much more credit from web masters than it gets.
