Del.icio.us Bookmarks, Firefox and you
Browsing and browsers go hand in hand, so it was an easy decision to use Mozilla's add-on system for Firefox to seamlessly integrate del.icio.us into the Web browser. Since we launched the first version of our del.icio.us Bookmarks add-on in October, many users utilize our extension daily to manage and remember their favorite bookmarks. With features like integrated tagging, a custom toolbar and a browser-integrated sidebar so you can search your bookmarks, the response has been great.
Today's release is the culmination of months of gathering feedback and turning it into real improvements for our users. The latest extension allows you to easily import, manage, share, search and sort thousands of bookmarks from within Firefox in a way that is familiar to anyone who's ever bookmarked a page in a web browser.
Since our release in October, we've added an all-new sidebar that incorporates sorting and related tag options, and performance has also been improved for users with lots of bookmarks. And, if you tried the extension a couple of months ago and weren't quite ready to let go of your Firefox bookmarks, we've brought them back. Whether you're new to del.icio.us or you've been with us from the start, we hope you'll find our extension to be a useful and powerful tool for handling your bookmarks.
If you're afflicted with an overload of browser bookmarks, check out the new addons.mozilla.org extension and let us know what you think in our Yahoo! Group.

Hi Nick & Patrick
i tried, again, to install and use the new del.icio.us bookmark version.
Still couldn't find a way to search tag combinations... how do you find your bookmarks quickly when you have more than 3000 online, without being able to place 2 or more tags in one search ???
Another feature we're dying for, literally, is the ability to properly manage and edit/rename tags in group, not one by one !
I really love Yahoo lately, Pipes ! whao ! and Del.icio.us the number ONE web2 app i use at all times...shame we still can't see some truly usable add-on though...

Hi Laurent,
If you click the little expander widget by the tags in the sidebar (ctrl-b), you can see related tags in this version. You can also search combinations by using the "+" symbol between tags.
Thanks for the feedback regarding bulk editing, we thinking of ways to do this.

Is it possible to do a bulk delete of bookmarks or delete the bookmarks when deleting a tag should at least be an option.

I like it works very well. I imported all my bookmarks but really need an effcient way to change them all from 'not shared' to 'shared'. Surely I don't have to go through them all one by one, right?

As a follow up to my previous post, I just found a tool that will bulk convert the shared status of all bookmarks: http://ghill.customer.netspace.net.au/re-mark/

I'm the guy who put together the aforementioned bulk conversion tool. I hope you find it useful.
I've just updated it with some extra features, including tag stemming:

I'd appreciate any feedback on that, plus thoughts for other extensions or add-ons.

We must be able ti bul delete the bookmarks; otherwise in the future it will be time consuming.
