Search Alliance Continues Strong Global Momentum

The Yahoo! and Microsoft Search Alliance continues its great progress with the completion of algorithmic transition to Microsoft for all Asian markets, except for Korea. Users in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam are now able to enjoy a competitive choice in search.

The team also recently completed European markets with algorithmic transition in Greece, Poland, Romania, Switzerland (German, French and Italian languages) and Turkey.

This builds on last month’s announcement of the transition in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, the Netherlands, Sweden, plus several countries in MENA (in Arabic language).

We have also previously announced that Yahoo! transitioned algorithmic results to Microsoft in New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, France, Germany, India, Italy, Spain and UK, among others.

The global transition to Microsoft’s back-end algorithmic search functionality enables us to continue to focus on creating compelling and innovative search experiences that will help people stay informed, productive and entertained. We will be sure to keep you updated.
