When are you going to fix the sitemap fiasco? I have be waiting for weeks for mine to go from pending. You will never overtake Google if you cannot even get this part right. Just so you know it is kinda important. Maybe you need to not farm this part out MS.

just be patient and add genuine content to your blog-leave rest upto the Yahoo..sure it will index your blog. Indexing is sometimes a complex process to grasp-depends upon many factors relating to your blog!!

It’s a sad day to see Yahoo Site Explorer disappear. Whilst we can use alternatives like Majestic SEO and ahrefs (although there are duplicates in the list of backlinks on ahrefs), the ease of using YSE withouth subscription and login was fantastic. I hope Bing Webmaster will provide the same Site Explorer backlink services?

We really miss yahoo site explorer. We addicted to it for its simplicity and free service.

Without actually logging in and jumping through all the hoops, will Bings Webmaster Tools actually show us useful backlink data???? Google’s Webmaster Tools just flat out sucks. It doesnt show us half of our backlinks.

I also experienced the same problem, but what about the subdomain like my blog which does not have full power to create a sitemap because it can only be made by the admin subdomain and whether my blog will still be indexed by yahoo?

We actually rely on the yahoo site explorer to do competitive link building. How are we supposed to do that without paying exorbitant sums of money now?? :(

The whole seo battle now enters the next stage of difficulty – what is a good backlink and what isn’t. Buying aged domains – now you are in the dark – Majesticseo, yes but that is all the rubbish links included – very hard to see where you are going.

So now bing has swallowed yahoo, will that be better, worse, or not much different for the users.

It’s really a shame. Yahoo Site Explorer was always a sign of freedom in the internet for me. Everybody could use it without restrictions. Now it’s not better than Google. Bing Webmastertools… pfff
Somewhere a “dislike-Button”…?

This is really sad for me. As SEO I have used Yahoo site explorer for checking backlinks for sites which I don’t own. This was a very useful feature. Now it is gone and we don’t have any free tool to check a website’s back link.

I’m not clear if Bing will show the same details that yahoo explorer did like the links to domain and links to the page etc. Any info on that will be greatly appreciated.

i like Yahoo! but i don’t know how to submit my site to search engine Yahoo!

Poor. Being relatively new to affiliate marketing I really liked the simplicity of Yahoo site explorer. I have tried using Bing in the past but it seemed a bit more complicated. I tried to set up this Bing Ap ID before for this purpose and it worked for like a day. The next day in order to use it, Bing requested that I set it up again. After that I just went over to open site explorer which seems decent. I have also heard of majestic or something…

I was saddened to learn of this merger. Site Explorer was so easy to use and when I went to register for the Bing Webmaster Tools, I didn’t find anyway to use the Site Explorer feature. The next best alternative is a service I found that will let you see the PR of the first couple of sites linking to a main site or page and you have to pay and become a member in order to see the rest of the info for the links. :(

You can recheck your sitemap is there any error or you submitted incorrectly thats the reason why your blog is not indexed. Yes Yahoo and Bing are also slow in crawling but now they pace up their speeds.

YSE was one of my all time favorite in web tools. I am not sure if it was a right decision for Yahoo to hand it over MS!!

I’ve used Site Explorer so much to check out my clients’ competitors’ backlinks and it was a really useful tool when coming up with SEO proposals. I do hope Bing lives up to the same high standards.

I don’t think I like this. Now, I have to sign in whenever I want to see the number of links to my website. Google lets anybody use their keyword research tool. You just have to enter a captcha…

It is now easier for me as well as for others to manage because it is difficult to manage bing webmaster central, google webmaster tools, and yahoo site explorer simultaneously.

Now we only need to work with google webmaster tools and bing webmaster central.

It’s easier to manage a single platform than to manage two different platforms…
