Site Explorer Update: Brand New Dashboards, Now With More SearchMonkey
The Yahoo! Site Explorer team has created some great new features for site owners that provide you with even more information about your site. Experienced Site Explorer users will notice that we now have much more detailed page-level and site-level dashboard information for verified site owners.
At the page level, you can now see your SearchMonkey object statistics. This means that if you’ve marked up your pages or provided us a feed that matches one of our existing SearchMonkey templates, your page will display all of the SearchMonkey objects we’ve indexed on that page.
We’ve also included Yahoo! Search keyterms and Delicious bookmark information for this page. Site Explorer gives you a great way to explore all sorts of metadata about your pages, whether it comes from SearchMonkey, Delicious, or our term extraction code.
We now also provide a site-level dashboard that displays additional information, including the number of SearchMonkey feeds you submitted and a history of any custom actions you have requested for your site (such as defining URL query parameters that you want us to ignore).
Finally, we’ve improved some of our backend logic for SearchMonkey feeds so that you can validate small test feeds much faster than before. This enables site owners to iteratively develop their SearchMonkey feeds without having to wait for the batch process to return.
Please try out these new features and let us know what you think!

Very cool updates! Being able to derive more information from Yahoo siteexplorer definitely helps us figure out what works and what doesn’t.
Hi,
Thats some wide ranging changes thats been made.
It’ll be great to try them all out.
Really nice :)
I already applied Microformats for LOCAL on Djerba Directory : http://jerba.be/fr/annuaire
and for EVENTS on the Agenda !
Yahoo! Local search have to take care about addresses !
Robots are recognizing Lat/Long data but Search Results are based on Yahoo! Maps Data spelling :(
I think Yahoo! Maps / Local have to add some feedback tools like (Google Map Creator) in order to provide more relevant Data ;)
Thank you
Hi there – Always love to see new features with Site Explorer. Just an FYI – the flickr link is returning an error.
Excellent! I’m looking forward to seeing how these new features work out for my site. I just wish yahoo would crawl my site and index some pages, then I would really see how this new stuff can work.
I am agree with “Emo”. It’s really nice to see such updates. I always like yahoo tools. Thanks a lot Yahoo Team.
Hello! Yahoo i´ts a verry great engine, more i learn about this engine the better it becomes…
Best Regards.
Christian from sweden.
Very cool update, will be checking this out. Love the inclusion of Delicious info.
Ah, an addition to Site Explorer is good to hear about. I’ll have to explore it a bit. Putting Delicious in place is especially… delicious.

Best Update ever. But lets check it out :P.
Nice updates. Waiting on a Yahoo crawl after adding a redirect. It is nice that yahoo actually responds to emails! Take care.
I have found the “key terms” ,its really a cool mind and useful function.
It’s great! Helps me to improve my site. Tamas
Hello! Dynamic urls can not take away the self huh? But it is yahoo themselves as they delete it? when I deleted a couple of links, it was “Pending Delete” and I can no more make users huh?
Best Regards
Christian.
good job i didnt know new updates but i saw and i like it
Great Update. The existing one is good enough, this one is much better
Great.. special thx 4 Yahoo!
I LIKE THE OLD YAHOO PAGE…. I DON’T WANT THE NEW PAGE. THANK YOU
site verification is still a bit slow. I experience this every time adding a new site
I’m new to this all. Are you keeping this functionality in light of Bing?
I will try to check this thing out. It’s good that there are innovations heard about Yahoo!Site Explorer. More power!
if I register in Yahoo as you said, then my web site will be embodied by Yahoo?
I particularly like the ‘Yahoo! Search keyterms and Delicious bookmark information’ features. I am very impressed by these changes. All the continuous effort you put in to provide insight to webmasters like is is truly appreciated. I have personally started depending on siteexplorer more than ever. Thanks Guys
Hi,
I’m also noticing that there seems to be a reduction in the number of backlinks reported in Site Explorer for some websites.
Have you made any changes in this regard as well?
Addition of Top Queries is a great thing, although currently in the beta. It will help a lot to the webmasters. Yahoo must try to provide more options similar to Google’s Webmaster tools.
There’s nothing like a good update, I tell you. But the one word that I especially like (in regard to Yahoo! Site Explorer Update) is: MORE… Yahoo! anything.
I simply have to sing high praises to you folks. What you’ve given to me the most is, solid customer service – everytime. When I’ve been stuck and haven’t known what to do, it’s been nice to know that nice people (like you) have been there to guide me through.
I could go on and on because I’m a fan and I appreciate what you do, yet suffice it to say this – I’m happy to learn that you’ve you’ve tweaked some more things.
Thank you Yahoo!
Most users may want to know quality of backlink.
If in Google term is PR, how about Yahoo!
If Yahoo! indicate quality of backlink site in search result list, it’s great!!!
The backlink issue really seemed to be resolved now, thanks to yahoo!!
Why does my new site – which isn’t even indexed – have key search terms?!
I love these changes and am finding the usability aspect of the site perfect. You are definitely going in the right direction. I do agree with Carlo on the aspect of knowing the quality of back-links.
Thank you for the great new features in Y! Site explorer! This tool has become my favourit recently and I use it everyday :)
Greetings to all from Bulgaria!
Thanks for wondorful feature of recent launch. Yahoo site explorer is amazing
I’ve been a Yahoo! fan for many years now and just started using the Site Explorer. The new changes make it even better. Quality of backlinks would be super. Thanks!
I seem to be having trouble verifying sites over the past week or so. I click on the Verification link, it offers me the choice of meta tag or file upload as usual. But whichever I choose I am returned straight back to my master list without being offered a file to download or a tag to enter. So I’m sitting there with 2 or 3 sites I can’t verify. I am using IE8 and XP SP3 if that helps.

Site explorer is a great tool.
Would be useful to understand the rankings / priorities given to backlinked pages
Yahoo site explorer should show all backlinks, it seems like they only show a small portion of the links
site verification is still a bit slow
Its a great tool, I am using Google Analytics for a long time and I am glad to see Yahoo Webmaster tools as well, I am sure it will be helpful, user friendly and will offer great results for online business owners.
Thanks Yahoo Team
This is very useful for all website owners.
this really helped me a lot.
it is better use yahoo.com to check back link.
i search many websites to find the best back link checker.
I think yahoo may be better.
Love this, this is cool!
verification is still a bit slow
The only problem for me is the results limited only to first 1000! otherwise it is great!
Its really very useful tools.I would use this tool from 3 years.
Perhaps this topic has long been wandering, but let’s all still talk about earnings!
I personally earn for posting news on the DLE sites … I’ll tell you what a nice perk to the main work)) So to say, a decent family replenish the treasury)
Does site explorer show all inlinks,or are some left out? My number of inlinks is always higher when I do the linkdomain:url -site:url search.
I think the new items may be useful but Yahoo seems to have “lost” all the previous crawling they had done on my site and, since I updated the url list, have just ignored the site totally!!
I think I may stick to Google, Bing etc as they all return results for various searches whereas Yahoo does not! (A pity as I uesd to use Altavista as my default search, now I’m having to use Google!)
The new siteexplorer is absolutely fantastic. And Sonya thats true, I did a linkdomain:myurl and i got more inlinks than what i get when i do site:myurl.
wow nice updates, how to change key terms in yahoo explorer. It seem the words are not suitable with my key words in my site. Yahoo generate otomatically. How could we change the key terms.
Excellent tips, anytime we can get information about our sites from the engines it is a win for site owners and SEO’s. We can only hope that the Yahoo! search team is one of assets that stays intact as the they transition search over to Bing.
I think the new siteexplorer has amazing features built in…yeehaw
I like the new site explorer’s dashboard and features.
Just don’t understand why it takes hours or even days to process or delete feeds.
Site Explorer is an extremely productive source for SEO and monitoring Backlinks.
The other search engines pale in comparison to the features offered by Yahoo!
Keep up the good work
Is there an easier way to get indexed by Yahoo? Thanks
I think the new siteexplorer has amazing features. We love to work with in our voice over business.
I have submitted a site in yahoo, when will it be authenticated?
This tool is what was missing in yahoo search engine. This kind of tool was available in other search engines but it’s inclusion in yahoo is 1 giant leap for the search giant in the right direction.
I think new site explorer now has added features and it will certainly help users a lot.
I’ve also added the meta key, but how can I be sure when it’s been authenticated?
when i first started using before that i got only few traffic from yahoo.com but after authentication my traffic keep on increasing monthly basis.
Amazing features! Site explorer is a great tool necessary for every webmaster, and the best of all is free! Using it saves me a lot of time. Yahoo!!! Thank you very much!
Thank’s a lot for yahoo.
Thank you very much for sharing I wish you success
Site explorer continues to get better. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic new features! Site Explorer is definitely on the top of our list of tools!
It would be nice if yahoo got a little quicker in terms of picking up on pages we’re no longer marketing or no longer listing instead of throwing dozens of errors.
Very cool update, will be checking this out. Love the inclusion of Delicious info.
I love the new update, but I’m finding it difficult to find some of the features, where some features removed? I could have sworn I saw a crawl rate adjuster?

Good new features!Yahoo Site Explorer is definitely the best tools!
I’m hoping that some of these useful tools won’t dissappear when Yahoo search is moved over to Bing
I’m noticing that there seems to be a reduction in the number of backlinks reported in Site-Explorer for some websites.
I agree with Harald’s comments … I as well have noticed a reduction in the number of reported backlinks for some pf my websites. Not sure what’s exactly happening.

I agree with Harald as well. There seems to be a differentiation between the amount of backlinks I was seeing on some other sites.
