Working on the new Yahoo! Search sports team shortcut has made me a new sports fan (I’m still mourning over the Celtics’ loss). Being a new fan, I’ve also learned how hectic it can be to follow your favorite professional and college sports teams. That’s exactly why we developed the new sports team shortcut.

I’ve also noticed the shortcuts in Yahoo! Sports that display stats and news for specific players. Are player stats and team info (like above) available through any of the Yahoo APIs?

Seeing more international sports would be a good idea. Great job on the Yahoo search though.

I really like this feature, but you cannot say “Follow Your Favorite Sports Team,” when it doesn’t include soccer. At least give us an MLS readout. I need to know how my Seattle Sounders are doing!
