We’ll be rolling out some changes to our crawling, indexing and ranking algorithms over the next few days and expect the update will be completed soon. As you know, throughout this process you may see some ranking changes and page shuffling in the index.

To share your thoughts or check in with other Yahoo! Search users, please visit the Site Explorer Suggestion Board.

Over all I am quite pleased with yahoo.

On a more important note – for such a window into the yahoo search world I am shocked at how few people comment on the blogs.

Maybe everyone is using the suggestion boards but most of what I see there is “my site is not indexed” or some such babblings.

Hang in there yahoo employees, you are on the right track even if management isn’t.

The yahoo.com results are much better. Finally looking good. Yahoo.ca is so bad and spammy.

I am seeing strange results for domain name searches. When I search for a domain like mattcutts.com all the results pages returned are from that domain. I have done several searches for different domains from big like nbc.com to personal sites like nevelos.com and they all return results only from that domain. Is that new?

when will the ever-persistent problem of yahoo rarely showing sites redirecting www to non-www be fixed?

I don’t understand why Yahoo lived information abut planned changes in search index. It was half a year before and I waste my time to read this announcement. Don’t you think it would be nice to use expiry dates and hide old infos? Don’t you think that internet is overfilled with useless topics?
