With over 180 million unique URLs tagged, Delicious is celebrating its five year anniversary. To date, 5.3 million users have turned to Delicious to enhance their social search experience. Not only is it a free and easy way for people to discover, tag and share web content, it continues to evolve to provide greater value to the Delicious community through the introduction of new features, such as browser add-ons or an improved user interface.

Happy anniversary, Delicious, and here’s to many more.

I wish I could find someone who can convince me that Yahoo! email search can reliably find anything. I’ve let my inbox accumulate mail over the past year, and now I’m discovering that the search function can’t find anything.

What gives — doesn’t anyone care about this?

While it is nice to see a company stick around for awhile I have just never seen what the attraction of Delicious is. I have been online since the early 90′s so I may well be stuck in the old ways, but please, someone expaln it to me!

To be honest. I do not see any real benefit of Delicious either. Maybe it’s only for people who often work on different computers. Anyway, congratulations!

I think the big benefit Delicious has given me all these years is just to help organize everything I have. I don’t like searching through my Bookmarks bar on Firefox to find what I need.

Since I can’t find anywhere else to write and the other yahoo bookmarks blog posts are from 2007, this seems the best place to post although I don’t have a lot of faith anyone from Yahoo! will see or care about it.

So, what gives with the, “Yahoo! Bookmarks will be undergoing site maintenance from 1-August-2011 to 31-October-2011″. Are you kidding? 3 months? What about people that use this service all the time to store bookmarks that can be accessed from anywhere? Are you trying to get us to go somewhere else or something? If so, be a little more upfront about it and tell us where and how to do it. Have you ever heard of using a development server to use while you make the changes and then switching over when everything’s ready to go live so you don’t have to take the whole site down? This is really unbelievable.

Overall I’m getting really fed up with Yahoo! and looking more and more to other service providers. You guys should really care about making things work more. You’ve got tonnes of issues with your email also and should have never launched the new version last week with the bugs that are in it and the fact that it takes you to the inbox every time you click the refresh button. It seems more and more like Yahoo doesn’t care about its customers and Google does. Don’t be surprised when Google keeps taking away more and more of your customers.
