I totally agree. Go 2 was a total disappointment. I very muched loved all features from 1.x with all the sync capabilities and have the “Y! connection” application running on the background, which syncs your contacts, email, calendar, etc. in a specified intervals with very minimal resources. This made life so much easier. Now all of these were taken away on the release of 2.0! Only thing close to being useful is its address book sync that keeps failing. All the revamp of the UI were totally unnecessary and resource hog, specially when all you’re seeing is “updating” on every click. I get more out of yahoo mobile site for news and search using pocket IE. I really hope Yahoo turns this around or if not…bring back 1.x.

Go 2.0

Well, what a let down. Bring back Go 1.0
I am so disapointed, i purchased a new phone for me and my wife on the strength that Go 1.0/2.0 will coordinate our schedules.
Uh.. the calender does not sync with mobile outlook, cannot be edited, and the interface is too slow!
Come on Yahoo. take note and make the changes…. I need to use yahoo calender for my family and work, it was the only thing that worked, until Go 2.0!!! Arhhhh

I have to echo zipdawg, the fact that I can’t sync my email and calendar just crippled my PDA. What was once the best Windows Mobile software with version 1.x has now become useless in 2.0.

I can’t believe how terrible v2.0 on Windows Mobile is! Let’s see:

1- It’s bloated and takes up far too many resources 5MB!!
2-Calendar, email don’t sync! Considering V1.0 did – this is a huge let-down!!!
3-Address book sync keeps trying, but fails.
4-The content is mostly light and superfluous. Reuters?? Who cares? I can get that in my Pocket IE browser.
5-Why would I want to use the Go interface for e-mail, when a perfectly good, integrated interface already exists on a SMARTphone/PDA!

This is an example of completely missing the mark. It’s one of the most egregious examples of unintuitive design that addresses none of the main issues associated with linking phones with yahoo. What were you thinking??

I’m Yahoo for mail, addresses, photos etc – on my PC. And cannot wait to get Mobile with Yahoo.

At work I use a fast Blackberry system. It does not have Yahoo’s functionality, but it is fast.

I need a Review which tells me on which phones Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0 works at Blackberry system speed. Then I will buy one.

Memo to Yahoo Engineers (and Marketing): you have the functions, you have Go on almost 400 phones. To get me to use it, it has to be fast and robust. Then you will have the killer app.

I’ve been waiting a year and will wait another year if necessary.

Same here Keith. In one of the ironies of life I upgraded from my 6681 when end-of-life for Y! Go 1.0 was announced to the E62 only to discover – no sync!! And this after going to the website to check whether the phone was listed. Any idea why sync doesn’t work with the E60?

Tried it out today, and there isn’t any sync support for the Nokia E62. I really need to be able to sync my calendar and contacts between the two.

I just got an sms that yahoo go 2.0 is released for WM5. I am thrilled to know that. The fact is that I am currently installing it on my phone while writing this comment.
Although it was late it is a very welcome addition.
