Yahoo! Search

Dear Yahoo,
Thanks a lot for this information.
It makes me know more about you.
Good luck :)
This is a conservative update….in fact it is less of an update as opposed to more updated backlink anchor text being factored in the rankings…
There still exists the problem of sites included in LOCAL and Yahoo Directory listings – severely loosing their positions in the organic SERPS, this really needs to be addressed – there is no practical reason for this….this flaw REALLY should be addressed
Here is a general template idea for a future algo update.
TrustRank = 25%
BackLink Anchor text = 25%
(link popularity =13% + Popularity of Links = 12%)
TITLE = 25%
Bodytext & MetaTags = 25%

Duplicate Content & Multiple Site Issues – I’d love to have a copy of this presentation, or an article on this blog covering it.
Thanks for update us.
Love to see SPAM free search results ;-)
Not impressed..no spam, clean html, major keyword page 14, its obvious Slurp does not like my web?
Slurp uses up our bandwidth, costing us money. I would like to remove our web site from Yahoo, will this work?
User-Agent: Yahoo! Slurp
Disallow: / Yahoo! Slurp
In the recent update, nearly all local Yahoo’s result become worse. When I use a local Yahoo such as Yahoo Hong Kong, I expect the default result will show Hong Kong website on top. However, many keywords only return website from Taiwan, China, USA. It makes the search engine less attractive. e.g. when I want to search for a doctor clinic but you provides result in Taiwan and USA, is it useful to me? Another example is when I try to find “credit card”, but most top 10 results are website from USA, UK, Canada, is it useful to me (I am living in Hong Kong and I don’t think I can apply a USA credit card).
For the past two weeks my site has been losing more and more pages from the index.
When I do a site: command on Yahoo it shows all of my pages just fine, but slowly one-by-one each page is displaying a blank empty cache – what is going on?
I checked my robots.txt and everything looks fine and Google is caching my pages just fine.
Is this a penalty?
The search results are getting worse and worse. New websites with only a few links….
yes, poor search results…..some NOT related websites showup in top 10…
Any comments on the search results, after the update this month, seems like it’s out of sync.
Thanks for the info guys!
I have found that listings in the search engines have been declining as it relates to quality content.
I agree, many search engines seem to be filling their pages with click ads and have neglected natural results.
Can anyone provide more information about Robots.txt using. Thanks.
