Hi,
I winded up on this page after trying to learn more about these Yahoo Meta tags regarding the ODP. I was reading in the blog over in www.oilman.ca about these tags, I never knew anything about them. I am trying to learn more about your search rhythms. I appreciate your time and effort here on the blog. I am a new subscriber now so that I won't miss any important information.
Thanks!

I wouldn't say so. For me the cost almost the same.

In regards to the changes with yahoo's algo - Why is there so much redundancy on the search results?

I run a search for "las vegas golf" and got about.com listed twice in the top 5. On google, #1 you have lasvegasgolf.com which is primarily about las vegas golf. I did some sleuthing through Yahoo and found that Yahoo has banned this website, why? It offers more information than about.com and even offers news (current news) about golf in Las Vegas. In addition, the #1 result that you have listed is a page with links and absolutely no content - just links. Your #10 listing is citysearch.com you are ranking another search directory higher than relevant websites about the subject.

I'm sure this keyword is small compared to larger keywords, but those are the types of searches I do and the types I care about. If I get results that require me to keep clicking links on websites like this, I'll never get what I want, and I'll be left in frustration! This is primarily why I use google over Yahoo, for the shear reason that I get what I want and exactly what I want.

The above site is my competitor by the way, it doesn't bug me that you banned them, but why ban a site that has more authority then list about.com which is essentially more spammy than the site you banned?

Let me know when you have an algorithm that is worth my time, then I'll probably use it again.

I just want to voice my total disapproval of the new platform. especialy for those of us who manage several clients. It is impossible to see the daily click rate or spend without clicking through many pages. And the reporting feature for multiple clients... Im just wondering did anyone at Y! actually run a dummy agency account with multiple clients before releasing this on us ? I am very dissapointed and am hoping some upgrades are forthcoming very very soon. my wrist hurts from clicking through this site so much for just simple every day management. what a shame.

The Rand/Vanessa photo isn't too shabby if I do say so myself. I had not seen the one with Rand and Karen before. See what happens when I leave a party early?

Rand,

I don't think they were going for the worst picture here, just the one that has you staring ?longingly? into Vanessa's eyes to show why they link the two of you in the search results...

I guess Yahoo really does have the best algorithm now if they can see more than just text and see the emotion in an image ;)

And GREAT JOB Yahoo - you are my new default search.
