My band's website www.heavymusic.com seems to have been removed from the SERPs. We aren't doing anything black hat to my knowledge <a href="http://allthemusic.bravehost.com" rel="nofollow">http://allthemusic.bravehost.com</a> although we do reviews of guitars that lead to our affiliates to help us pay for our band expenses.

I have finally realized that using Yahoo search is like playing a slot machine trying to get the correct matches to come up. I didn't realize this until I opened my own web site. Sometimes I come up third (with 2 spammers in front of me). Next time I can't be found. Not even if I type in my full domain name. It will ask me if a meant another domain name. Another time I come up third (same two spammers on top). Next time I am not there.. not on page 1 thru 50. I am not a gambler. I don't use slot machines. Why does Yahoo have 30% of the search market? I don't understand.

I watched in horror as our Yahoo referrals dropped from 1000+ in the first half of November to 100 in the second half. Every single one of the search terms we used to rank highly on, we're not even in the top 50 after this update. If we had been replaced by more relevant sites, I'd understand. But where we used to stand, now I see nothing but Spam and link farms. Definitely a thumbs down from me. www.secretgardenchild.com

Sorry to post this hear if its the wrong area but how do we do a request for reinclusion similar to Google's feature by the same name? My band's website www.heavymusic.com seems to have been removed from the SERPs. We aren't doing anything black hat to my knowledge although we do reviews of guitars that lead to our affiliates to help us pay for our band expenses. However, all the content on the site is unique so I am wondering if there is another issue. As I say, sorry to post this here is its the wrong place but I can't find the Yahoo reinclusion request (must be the temporary memory loss). Thanks!

"I barely noticed an update. Things are looking good. I feel sorry for those who've lost their sites but come on."

You know it is one thing to loose position to genuine quality competition/sites since quality is within a webmaster's control. It is another thing to loose position because of a glitch or even spammers and needless junk that is thrown into the results.

It is not that Yahoo! owes us anything but if they show "true" relevant results what it comes down to is quality competition. Who can out do the other in quality not necessarily SEO. This is what Yahoo! should focus on and I believe they are trying hard.

"Back on track: Yahoo lately has been giving me much more relevant results than Google. Lately on Google the obvious result gets buried behind a pile of sites I don't need. I hate that. As a user (not a webmaster) it's great to have a Yahoo and MSN to turn to for different (and good) results - finally!"

I see far from being more relevant than google. Google degraded a bit. Yahoo was equal if not better up until the more recent Yahoo updates which put them now put them behind.

>>>>>>>Don't spend energy or time with this SE, concentrate on MSN and Google, get in there and the rest of the pack picks you up (I.E ask.com, dogpile.com...) in my last post here I made an example of a firm with a "I love yahoo" post at the top (now middle) of this thread, Koenig & Strey Chicago MLS Search and Real Estate has 9 out of the first thirty listings in the phrase "Chicago MLS Search and Real Estate" most from the same domain/ with a subdomain (I.E: sub.domain.com.) ---------------------------------

and in my last post I said your biggest problem is the loooooooong delay in cacheing (actualy in displaying, you have the data, you scan my site every day) but I was wrong, from the webmasters side, that may be true, but as for your readers side, the problem goes back to the example at the top of this post, now they have ten in the top thirty listings in a 5,000,000+ search phrase, and www.yourinternetagents.com/ and chicago.yourinternetagents.com/ are the same!!! Those are the only two I checked. no they are not a low res version of each other, so your biggest problem is you let Co's like this get over on you, or they are paid for inclusion. also you don't listen to one word written here, I see no changes as a result of any posting here, except that my site is lower in ranking!!!! a little retribution? From now on I don't care if you go to #9 ( in SE site rankings) or what, you brought it on yourselves.

Since you will not deal with the SPAM issues, perhaps advertising SPAM methods for the criminal minded is in order here.

When your search bots are full of SPAM, or the volume of complaints increases perhaps you will do something about it.

Here are some recent classics, Ah.. no white on white here, that Childs play.

How about:

Great for triplicate content, benefits Yahoo can triple their pages from 5 billion to 15 billion.

www.myweb.com

myweb.com

54.23.5.123/

variations of your dot.com same address and server.

Or Home Page Duplication

index.htm
index.html
add in 15 links on the bottom of the page all copies of index.htm with different names.

These methods will help destroy Yahoo's results already bad results, and benefit you in the short term.

Share your Spam methods here! Lets incease SPAM everywhere.
