The Best of yahoo website that lets you see the top 10 in your area ,rated by the contest for personal reviews states to check on OCT 10th 2005 for the results ,well today id Oct 11th 2005 and there is still no update.

Also as posted on the RULES for the review contest sponsered by Mazda and Yahoo ,it states the winnners will be announced on or around OCT 11th 2005 . I have wondered if both of these are typo's ,but think NOT ,since it is the official rule page and such ..any comments?

Its an idea that will get manipulated as it has heppened with google results thanks to SEO and black hat techniques. A new system to check this is required.

I do not agree with yor ideea:
"The only drawback is since "travel is seasonal" - the voting results during the late summer and early fall (8/31 to 10/04) - might be completely different from the Fall Winter Spring sample (for areas that have those seasonal changes)."

What a brilliant idea - this is a welcomed option than depending on Slick Advertising Agencies or PR Firms and hoping the "hype" turns out valid.

Allowing a real democratic Voting process will offer the global sharing of Real-Life experiences.

The only drawback is since "travel is seasonal" - the voting results during the late summer and early fall (8/31 to 10/04) - might be completely different from the Fall Winter Spring sample (for areas that have those seasonal changes).

That also includes the Entertainment that would be provided during those months.

It would really be productive to have several voting periods to reflect each of the seasonal changes accross most of the Globe.

Unfortunately for areas like New Orleans in the USA - they might not get their share of votes for what is normally a glorious area to visit.
