I'm asking you to allow access to the beta like everyone else. It goes without saying that with any beta their are kinks to work out and this is expected. Why not let SBC Yahoo members also participate in the beta? Why exclude them until final release. And why not address my desire to go back to being a non SBC Yahoo! customer? Why are you forcing me into the SBC Yahoo package when I don't want it? What are the benefits to me to be in the SBC package? I'm totally fine with you rolling out this service when it is out of beta and bug free to the SBC clients but you are not protecting me by disallowing me to try out the beta. I write about media and technology and by excluding me from the service you are prohibiting me from reviewing the service and panning or praising it's capabilities. Please explain your logic for forcing people on a free service into a second rate paid service just because they happen to be using SBC for DSL? If I drop SBC and go with a cable modem will I be able to migrate my data over to a non-SBC/My Yahoo account? It only rubs salt in it when you guys keep saying every other day how great the beta is. SBC/My Yahoo! customers still are not allowed to upgrade. Sounds like there may be some serious technical issues… or Yahoo! just doesn’t care as much about it’s paid business. I think it’s one thing to voluntarily sign up and pay for 2nd rate service, but the poor my yahoo customers who just happened to be SBC/DSL cusomters got this thing foisted on us with no appreciable benefits. Yahoo is not doing a very good job at partnering with the service provider. It should be an enhancement not a detriment and at minimum Yahoo should allow those poor saps stuck with SBC/My Yahoo! the opportunity to opt out of the deal and go back to being just plain old regular my yahoo accounts. I’ve seriously been thinking of dropping SBC DSL for a cable modem and VOIP – exactly what SBC does not want. At least then I wouldn’t be treated like a lepper over at Yahoo!. I wonder if then I could go back to being a non-SBC account. Just my two cents.
