Yahoo seems to have grown in popularity again, and kudos to them for sprucing up their image and giving Google much-needed competition. However, I believe that the online search market has reached a stage where customers / visitors work on habit. So when a person thinks search, they think Google (or if they used to think Overture, they now might think Yahoo!). But old habits die hard, and getting over this obstacle will be a much bigger challenge for Yahoo.

As Rodney said, yahoo has made changes that finally gives people a reason to talk about yahoo. and the "talk" is what made google so great. I can't even number the times I said to a co-worker or friend "wow, look at what Google has done."

YET, lately I've been saying exactly that about Yahoo. I do love the Rss addition and look forward to what the future of yahoo will bring.

I enjoyed the article Danny. As usual it was very informative. I've also enjoyed the new things Yahoo! is doing and am looking forward to seeing the new roll-outs you said you couldn't mention yet.

I also agree that the sound of Yahoo's is likable. I love the shortcut keys, they're awesome. Its good to have two excellent search choices on the internet.

Danny,
As usual your insights are right on target. I am very excited about the RSS Feed Search aspect as I see this growing rapidly. The ability to "Add to my Yahoo" feeds to people's my yahoo home page is something that is great and is really giving google another leg up in my opinion.

I use both Google and Yahoo on a regular basis and am really liking the changes that I am seeing at Yahoo. Google is doing there best to monetize Adwords, and i think this is partially at the expense of natural organic search results. Great for Adwords Revenue, possibly not so great for some websites hoping for good organic results.

Yahoo keep up the good work....I am likeing the sound of your voice!

I also agree with you that in coming days yahoo will be leader in search technology as Google seems to working very fast but seems to be confused in some spheres of search engine technology.
